I have been a school counselor in Tulsa Public Schools since 2005 and work with 9th grade students at Edison Prep. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and business from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. After working two years in Dallas, Texas, I returned to SFA to earn my master's in education.

I started my education career as an art teacher in Blackwell, Oklahoma. This is my 10th year as a school counselor serving students. I received my master's of education degree from Northwestern State University.

I have worked in education for the past 30 years. I am a proud Edison graduate and received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Oklahoma State. Go Pokes! It is a great pleasure to be on staff at Thomas Edison High School!
Counselor - 6th & 7th
I have been a school counselor for Tulsa Public Schools since 2014. I am the 6th and 7th grade counselor here at Edison. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kansas Wesleyan University in 2009, and my master’s degree in Human Relation Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 2014. My goal is to help your student achieve their best self academically, socially, and emotionally. I take pride in helping your student gain greater understanding of valuing the importance of their educational needs before reaching high school to be college and career ready for their future. Most importantly DON’T FORGET TO HAVE FUN while working hard.

I have a BA in Spanish (started @ ORU/finished @ OSU), an MS in Applied Behavioral Studies (Special Ed. emphasis), and a doctorate in Educational Administration—the last two at OSU.
I have served as an Edison Middle School counselor since 2011 and love interacting with and encouraging students to succeed academically, aesthetically, and athletically—(to go for the A’s!!!)
Upon completion of the program's requirements, you will earn:
- Tuition at an Oklahoma 2-year of 4-year university
- A portion of tuition at an Oklahoma private college/university
- A portion of tuition for programs at a career tech center
