Uniforms

Middle School Uniform

Tops

  • Polo style short or long sleeve shirts - solid white, black, forest green, navy blue, gray, pastel blue, pastel yellow, or pastel pink.
  • Oxford (button down) short or long sleeve shirts - solid white, black, forest green, navy blue, gray, pastel blue, pastel yellow, or pastel pink.
  • Hooded or Crewneck sweatshirts - solid white, black, forest green, gray, or Edison.
    • Hoods are not allowed to be worn on head while in the building.
  • Lightweight jacket/pullover - solid white, black, forest green, gray, or Edison.
    • Bulky winter coats/jackets must be stored in lockers.
  • Game Day Attire – approved Edison sport team uniforms may be worn on game days.

Any other outerwear worn must go in locker upon arrival until dismissal.


bottoms

  • Pants/slacks - Khaki, black, or navy blue.
    • Pants must not be allowed to sag. 
  • Shorts - Khaki, black, or navy blue (must be below fingertips)
  • Skirts/Skorts - Khaki, black, navy blue, or Edison plaid (must be below fingertips).

belts

  • Plain belt buckles - no symbols or logos

Shoes/footwear

  • House slippers, flip-flops, and shower shoes are NOT allowed.

Head coverings

  • Hats, hoods, beanies, and bandanas are not allowed to be worn while in the building.

spirit day/college day wear (Fridays only)

  • Jeans (if holes are present, must be below fingertip length) in lieu of uniform bottoms may be worn on Fridays
  • T-shirt with Edison or college logo in lieu of uniform tops.
  • Regular uniform dress is also acceptable on these days.

 


 

High School Uniform

TOPS

  • Game Day Attire - approved Edison sport team uniforms may be worn on game day.
  • Edison spirit wear - polo shirts, t-shirts, or hoodies with Edison team/club/logo

Other Policies

  • No bare midriffs, low-cut necklines, off-the-shoulder or bare backs. Inappropriate symbols, mottos, words, or acronyms are prohibited.
  • Shorts and skirts must be below fingertips when standing normally. Any holes, rips, or tears in pants must also be below fingertip length.
  • Jewelry/accessories that pose a safety concern for the student or others are prohibited.
  • School ID must be worn at all times when on campus.

TPS POLICY:

  • Students must conform to the dress code set forth by TPS policy 2601-R. Non-compliance will be subject to disciplinary actions as defined by the TPS Behavior Response Plan. ADMINISTRATION RESERVES THE AUTHORITY TO DETERMINE ANY SPECIFIC DRESS CODE ISSUES.

EDISON POLICY:

  • Students must store heavy outerwear (coats, hats, gloves) in their lockers. ✸ No bare midriffs, low cut necklines, off the shoulder or bare backs. Inappropriate symbols, mottos, words or acronyms are prohibited. No holes or rips. Shorts and skirts must be of modest length as defined as a maximum of 6” above the knee or not above the fingertip, with arm fully extended, of the wearer...whichever is longer. NO LEGGINGS, TIGHTS OF ANY KIND UNLESS WORN UNDER SKIRTS. 
  • Appropriate footwear for protection and hygienic reasons are required. House slippers, shower shoes, and athletic slides are unacceptable. 
  • Jewelry/accessories that pose a safety concern for the student or others are prohibited. Head coverings shall not be worn. Exceptions must be approved by the administration

CONSEQUENCES:

  • First offense – Saturday detention assigned
  • Second offense – Saturday detention assigned
  • Third offense – Assignment to TRAICE Satellite.
