Monunique "Mo" Smith and Chasity McBride have been selected as the 2021-2022 Edison Preparatory Support Employees of the Year!
Smith (pictured above) is the building and grounds site supervisor.
A coworker who nominated her said: "Mo works extremely hard at her job. We have a very large building, and she always has a smile on her face and a happy response to any request made of her."
Smith started working at Edison at the beginning of the school year and has quickly made a great impression. She is responsible for cleaning the school, ensuring things get fixed when they break, and managing her team.
"My favorite part of the job is giving my team positive recognition for hard work," said Smith. "I like to help others and I learn to learn new things."
Chasity McBride is the middle school office clerk. She takes care of attendance, answers phones, helps in the nurse's office, and much more.
"She treats everyone fairly and respectfully. She makes sure that she gets to know the students and to listen to them and their needs as they come into the office," said one of her nominators. "She adeptly handles parent phone calls and visits, making the parents feel heard while she helps to meet their needs."
