Library Information

Mrs. Leach - Librarian

I really enjoy working as an Edison Library Media Specialist. I have taught in Tulsa Public Schools for many years. My favorite things are kids, books, animals and travel. It’s great to combine these things in my career and leisure time. I’ve traveled to many states and Mexico and look forward to more travel in the future.  I play African drums, garden, ride bikes and hike in my free time.

I have two grown sons. Matt is a video producer for This Land Press in Tulsa and Andrew is in the army. I am so glad they share my love for reading and music.

I look forward to helping each student at Edison find just the right book and resource for their project. I really believe that libraries are the key resource for a great democracy.

Mrs. Hoffmann - Librarian

Education is my passion.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a mathematics degree.  After working in industry as a cost analysist I went to law school at the University of Arkansas.  Graduating third in my law school class provided me an opportunity to attend further law studies at New York University where I received a LLM in taxation.  After practicing tax law in Tulsa for three years I taught junior college for six years and completed a MBA from Colorado State and a Masters in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.  I eventually attended library science graduate school at the University of Oklahoma.  I taught computers and was a library media specialist at Cleveland Middle School for the past nineteen years.  I am a Nationally Certified Teacher.

I am happily married to Tom Hoffmann who is a clinical psychologist.   Both Tom and I are huge OU fans.  Our two children, however, bleed orange and attend OSU.  Our son is majoring in electrical engineering while our daughter is majoring in “undecided”.  If you wish to find us on the weekends, try OU football and OU women’s basketball.

Tom loves to travel and I usually tag along.  We both enjoy college campuses.  Please visit the “collegiate room” in the library where the decorations are college pennants.  I have been on 24 of the 27 college campuses displayed and would love to talk to you about the “feel” of campuses of interest to you.
