Hello, and welcome to a brand new year!
I am truly excited about my fifth year of teaching at Edison Prep. I have a Bachelor's Degree in
Deaf Education from the University of Tulsa, and a Master's Degree in Deaf Education/Deaf Studies from Lamar University in Texas. I currently teach Algebra I, Algebra Fundamentals, Algebra II, Geometry, Art I/II, and Careers (tutoring).
The students are awesome, and I have high expectations for each of them. I believe that it is important for students to have exposure to a variety of life experiences. It increases their self-esteem and self-confidence, and prepares them for the real world, after they successfully complete high school. I promise that they will have a lot of new adventures this year.
My Art classes are going to be a lot of fun. The students will be exposed to a variety of art genres. They will draw, paint, dance, and sculpt. We also will participate in the 3rd Annual Spring Fever Performance. Last year, the Soul Train Line-up was a huge hit!
I assure you that my classes with engage the students. They will have fun while they learn, and still be challenged academically. Thank you for entrusting me with your children. I look forward to another incredible year!
